The decanter centrifuge is a settling equipment that operates continuously and discharges materials horizontally. The working principle of this type of centrifuge is that the drum and the screw rotate at a certain differential speed and high speed in the same direction. The material is continuously introduced into the inner cylinder of the conveying screw through the feeding pipe, accelerated and enters the drum. Under the action of the centrifugal force field, heavier solid substances deposit on the drum wall to form a sediment layer.
The feeding spiral continuously passes the deposited solid matter through the drying zone at the small end of the drum for further dehydration, and then discharges it out of the machine through the slag discharge outlet. The lighter liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring, which continuously overflows from the large end overflow port of the drum and is discharged outside the machine through the discharge port.
